Your baby is only a newborn for such a short time. Those little feet and hands, the sweet baby smell, the coos and smiles that fill your heart with joy, the fuzzy hairs on their head, and the hours you spend memorizing every wrinkle and inch on their little bodies while in awe of the miniature human that you made, carried in side of you, and waited anxiously to meet for all of those months. You may be trying to conceive or are already in the middle of your pregnancy journey, but no matter what phase you are in, you have come here because you know how little time you will have once your baby is born and you know how important it is to document every bit of those first weeks.
Newborn photography is a special skill that requires much more training and patience than a normal portrait session. You wouldn't let just anyone care for your child and it is just as important to choose someone who is experienced and trusted when choosing a newborn photographer. Nowadays, there are so many photographers that add newborn photography to the long list of genres they offer. I specialize in newborns, and although I offer other types of sessions, my newborn sessions are what they all revolve around. My clients choose me because I am the best at what I do and they trust me, I take that responsibility very seriously. I have trained under some of the world's top newborn photographers to stay up-to-date on the safest posing techniques. I am infant first aid and CPR certified and have taken newborn safety classes with NICU nurses, along with being fully vaccinated ( COVID, flu, and TDAP) and I wear a mask during my newborn sessions. I make certain that my studio and all of the props I use are sanitized in between all uses in order to create the safest environment for you and your baby. I am well aware that for a lot of my clients, this will be one of the first times they will be taking their newborn out of the cocoon of their home.
I have been asked many times if I will travel to client's homes, while I would love to, there is a very important reason why it is best to have your session done in the safety of my studio. My studio allows me to be able to utilize all of my professional equipment in an environment that is created to ensure that my sessions are as safe and as efficient as possible. I have special posing and soothing tools that I cannot travel with. These items help me soothe and pose your baby safely. Without them, sessions take much more time and would be more disruptive to your baby, even when done in your own home. Also, I have everything set up exactly as it needs to be and I can control all of my surroundings, ensuring that your photos are consistent and display the type of perfection that you deserve.
I specialize in posed newborn photography. I am extremely patient, gentle, and I have learned through my many years of experiance to listen to your baby and their body language in order to soothe and comfort them throughout my posing flow so that they are comfortable and happy. If I dont feel that your baby is comfortable I will move on to another pose, I will never force anything.
Your session will be done within the first 1-4 weeks after your baby is born. This is the best time to do your session as they are still used to being curled up in your tummy. At this stage, I can curl them up in those adorable poses that we all love as they are malleable and very sleepy. I provide hair and make-up for all of the mommas so that they can sit back and be pampered while watching all of the fun because you deserve to be pampered and feel your best right after giving birth. I provide everything you need including an incredibly large selection of handmade custom items to assure your photos are perfectly styled and that every detail is perfect. Your portraits are designed exactly for you so that your art will fit beautifully with the style of your home. I cant wait to design your dream newborn session!
