Time goes by so very quickly and before you know it, they’ve grown from a cuddly newborn into a curious child. During this time, the milestones fly by and can happen before your ready. As a Northern VA child photographer I can’t slow down time, but I can freeze these precious moments so you can look back on them forever. With every milestone, parents feel such pride watching their child learn and grow, seeing the little human they are becoming. A child photography session is the perfect way to celebrate all of the phases before they are gone.


Your child’s milestones are monumental, and capturing their personality during a photo shoot is pure joy. From big belly laughs to, learning to walk and talk, singing their favorite songs, holding full conversations with all of their thoughts and opinions, and celebrating all of their big birthdays from their first birthday on—each moment is a treasure. I’ll capture them playing, laughing, and exploring, with every detail coordinated, from outfits to props, based on your chosen colors and theme. As a Northern VA children's photographer I recommend booking session based on milestones like sitting independently (sitter session or milestone session), their first birthday (cake smash session) and other bid birthdays as your child grows (children's session), holidays (christmas mini sessions, fall mini sessions, milk bath session, outdoor child session). At my Sterling, VA child photography studio, I provide everything you need for a unique and memorable session. From a client closet full of adorable handmade outfits in all sizes to a large selection of timeless rustic props. For most child sessions, parents and siblings are able to jump in for a quick updated portrait at the beginning, so bring the whole family! Celebrating a first birthday? My cake smash sessions include all of the above, plus the cake, a balloon garland, and a fun splash-time bath to wrap it up and add a little extra fun.
