At Imprinted Photography a Fairfax VA Newborn Photography Studio, our pets are family too so we love it when we have he chance to do Newborn and Dog Photo Shoots. Anytime a parent mentions that they have a loved family dog we get excited to tell them that pets are welcome at our sessions! We can’t resist the opportunity to capture adorable memories with our families, their newborns and their dogs at our Newborn Photo Shoots.

Before we get to the adorable puppy dog let me show you this little guy and tell you how his session went. I started with photos on my posing table using 3 different beautiful backdrops that mom choose. I used matching bonnets and sleepy caps to get some variety with these poses. The poses I did were side laying, bum-up and front facing/head on hands. During the bum-up pose on the burgundy backdrop I was lucky to capture a little smile! During the prop shots I used a variety of props including a bucket, wooden moon bowl, basket and a trench bowl. This little guy slept though the whole thing like a perfect little angel, he did such a great job!

Parent photos can be some of my favorite photos I take a my Newborn Photo Shoots as a Fairfax, VA Newborn Photographer. These parents did such an amazing job and made it so easy to create beautiful photos. The love these two have for their little guy is just so special and it shows in their images. This couple is so in love and they are so blessed to now have their first child, they will be such great parents.

So now the best part! This sweet little girl’s name is Cooper and she is just the best puppy. She was so well behaved in the studio and was already so in love with her new little brother. We often have to use tricks and treats to get dogs to look interested in the newborns during photo shoots but Cooper didn’t need any coaxing. She licked his cheeks all on her own a couple of times!

Cooper’s parents love her so much and were so happy when she was an only “child”. After thinking that they would never be able to be parents to a human child they fell into a happy routine with their fur baby. This family was so excited to find out they were going to have a little boy and he is a blessing. I was so honored to be able to give this sweet family the gift of these beautiful memories and I hope they cherish them forever.
